I’m Kameryn, but you can call me Kami! I’m the founder, recipe developer, & face behind @kamsplate. I’m excited to take things a step further with this space, where I can share deeper stories about food, travel, supper clubs, & my life as a cook.

A little more about me:

I studied Human Development and Global Health at UCSD and was headed to nursing school until about two years ago. I’ve always loved helping people, though I never imagined it could be through food!

Food has always been my greatest love. I’m a serious foodie, and some of my best memories have been made around a table. It wasn’t always clear how to turn that passion into a career; honestly, I’m still figuring it out as I go. But for now, I hope this space and my other social media platforms inspire you to get more creative in the kitchen.

What started as a fun school project in 2020 quickly grew into something much bigger, thanks to the encouragement of friends and family. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a private chef, cater events, host Supper Clubs, and collaborate with some amazing brands.

Food continues to teach and humble me every day, and my mission is to share recipes that are approachable, plant-centered, and, most of all, fun! I’m all about reducing food waste and using what’s already in your pantry and fridge to make something special.

Good food is for everyone – and sometimes, it’s just a pinch of salt or a simple technique away.

Right now, I’m soaking up life in beautiful Carlsbad, California, with my partner and our German Shorthaired Pointer, Roma.
